David Woessner founded W Advisors & Co. as a niche advisory firm to deliver access and insight with impact to its clients. After many years working in leading professional services firms, he realized that the need for professional services was changing and that traditional firms could not always deliver value based on this new need. David combined his unique skill sets in management consulting, business development and sales to create a non-traditional advisory firm that combines traditional consulting principals with traditional sales and business development principals to deliver non-traditional capabilities to its clients to grow their top line.
David is a trusted leader and expert in the areas of automotive, mobility, and emerging technologies. He has over 15 years of executive leadership and management experience. He is also a seasoned business development, marketing, and sales leader with an extensive professional and personal network of global executives, academic professionals and governmental members. He is capable of building business development, networking and branding strategies that expand his clients’ access and presence in its target markets and industries.
David has worked across a variety of industries and organizations including Fortune 500 companies as well as startup, private equity, venture capitalist, academic and government entities.
David is a sought after speaker nationally for providing insights and perspectives on new business models, disruptive technology and entrepreneurship. He has written articles and white papers on mobility, connectivity and automotive technology hubs.
He is an active member of the Detroit Athletic Club and the Economic Club of Washington. He earned his MBA and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology while serving multiple terms on the National Society of Black Engineers National Board of Directors. He also received his BA in Physics and German from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana where he currently serves on the Board of the National Association of Wabash Men.
